Gorgeous boots! Fit true to size and are comfortable. They are not 5 stars, because they won't last long. They are made with really cheap "pleather", but for $30, I'd buy them again.

The price on these boots was irresistable to me. Upon receiving them, I am in agreement with some of the other reviewers. Sticky zipper, not too comfy, tight in the calf (mine are average - I can get the zipper up but it is a snug fit). Feels a bit narrow on my foot. Also not very flexible around the ankle area - I would not wear these anywhere I had to stand or walk alot. The pointed toe on this boot is very exaggerated. I know it is the style, but I could not tell from looking at it online. The point of the toe goes more than two inches beyond the end of my foot! The buckles and other details are nice. I got brown and I am sure I will be able to make them work with a few outfits, and for the amazing price, I will have some fun with them.

Great looking boots! These boots are for women who enjoy looking feminine. They are perfect for the office, church, or a night out on the town. They are very comfortable and can be worn all day although they have high heels. The calf size is just right so you can wear these boot with a knee-high, stocking, tights or socks depending on your preference or the temperature outside. They are waterproof---not only do you stay dry but you will also look sexy. These boots are definitely a winner. I have received many compliments from both men and women, relatives, friends, and even total strangers. I have them in brown and gray. Unfortunately the black was out of stock. Nevertheless, and I am looking forward to ordering two more pairs of boots (black and white)from Chinese Laundry in the near future. Chinese Laundry has my vote of confidence and my business. Patented for Success.

I love the look of these boots, very comforatable, once you get them on...however getting them on takes a while. The zipper is horrible! Very difficult to use. When I took them out of the box to try them on...it took forever to get the zipper down on them. I figured it was because they were so new...but after several times, the zipper is still ridiculous to use. My hands actually hurt after I get them on. I don't want to go through the hassle of returning them, so I will suffer through it....
Definitely will not pass for patent leather.... October 26, 2009

It's interesting to see how completely different everyone's opinions are about this product. I took a gamble and wasn't necessarily disappointed, but the boots definitely do not look patent leather (at least not in grey). They look vinyl. I'm okay with that, but I can see how others wouldn't be. I ordered a size up based on the reviews, but the boot does not run small in my opinion. I could've ordered my regular size and would've preferred it, but it's not worth exchanging. The calf width is loose on me, but I admit that I have narrow calves. No zipper problems for me yet, luckily. I think this is a cute pair of boots for the money, but they aren't exceptional in any way.
