fun fashion April 21, 2010 S. Graham (Omaha, NE) I just got these and have worn them out only once, but they are really as comfortable as the other reviews say--if you're looking for a boot you can feel barefoot in, these are it! I wouldn't try wearing them in any kind of bad weather, however, as they are very thin and obviously not meant to handle moisture of any kind. The color is not so much gray as a kind of brownish, or purpleish gray. It's quite striking, but if you're looking for a plain old "gray" boot, it probably won't be what you have in mind. As for the 6-8 in. tassles in back, I love them. The other reviewer who worried about slapping people when she walked must live in a far more populated city than I do... If anyone other than a close friend (and mine understand the needs of fashion) is walking within 6 inches of me, I actually don't mind the idea of slapping them with something. Bottom line: this is a cool, funky boot!
Great boot, NOT grey April 15, 2010 Sofia Sofia (Norman, OK) I have been looking for grey boots for a LONG time. While I really like these boots, they are not even CLOSE to grey. They are definitely a dark taupe, MUCH closer to brown. In fact, I ordered the chocolate brown and the grey, and the grey are just a slightly lighter version of the dark brown. I'm definitely returning one of them, just haven't decided which ones yet! Also, in the photo, the studs on the grey look silver, but in reality they are brass (just like on the brown). Other than that, they are definitely cute, comfortable, true-to-size boots. I didn't notice the soles being especially thin, like the other reviewers, but they don't have any arch support.
Not rated black metal boots March 20, 2010 James M. Combs (RIDGE, MD, US) I bought these for my wife and she said they are perfect, their so comfortable it's like your not even wearing them, they are wonderful. I have had so many comments on them, I must say this time I picked the right boots.
Soft, comfortable, casual boots February 7, 2010 Snowbound Californians (Highlands Ranch, CO) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I just got these boots from Street Moda and they're very comfortable. The soles are pretty thin, which some people may not like, but I find the flexible and soft sole to give that "barefoot" feeling--I'm not a high heels type, so these are great!
Fun and funky January 18, 2010 K. M. Sullivan (Monroe, OH) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've had my boots for about a month now. Overall, I really like them. Appearance-wise, they are distinct from a lot of other boots I see out there. I liked the shiny, metallic fabric on the inside of the boot. They are very light-weight, almost like wearing socks on the bottom, so I wouldn't suggest wearing them for a lot of walking, nor through wet patches as the water will seep through. They are an unusual shade of gray--almost tan intermingled with the gray. I do not particularly care for the tassles/fringe or whatever you wish to call them on the back. The first time I wore these boots, those two tassles acted like whips, slinging around from side to side when I walked anywhere. I felt like I should wear a sign: Warning--if you walk too close, your ankle will be slapped! Now I just tuck the tassles inside the boot, and they seem ok.
