I loved the look but normally wear a size 7 and this boot was too snug and wasn't comfortable. I didn't want to have to pay additional shipping to test if the next size up would have been better.

Ok, First off I'm a male in his mid 40's.
Secondly I just bought 2 pairs of Frye's Fiona Stitch Ankle Boots One for the wife and a pair for me!
And boy do we love them!
So I saw this great sale on these in the Cognac Leather and couldn't help myself.
So first off I have larger calves 18" at the top of the boot.
How did that work out?
Well I used a Shaft/Shank Stretcher and they fit perfect!
A size 11M Starts out at 16" and can easily stretch 2"!
The wife's 7m fit perfect as is.
I really like having the side zipper to get these on an off and yes they fit just as well as the Veronica Slouches in Burnt Orange That I have.
They zipped all the way up no problem!
Also The Leather in the Shank/Shaft seems more structured than the Veronica Slouches which are very supple.
Also I agree with the other reviewer that some Gel insoles are in order for all day wearing!
BTW What I really love about most Frye's and I will say again is the toe box is a lot larger than most regular Cowboy Boots!
I really love these rounded toe boots!
So much better for walking and a way shorter break in period!

These Boots look fine for a man as long as you wear jeans over them and How can you not just love the leather and the Quality of these boots.
Maybe I'm just lucky to have such an understanding wife who never judges me but who just loves me for who I am!
But Boy do we have a lot of fun together!
The Bottom line on these is....
They fit GREAT!
Are AWSOME QUALITY!
And for that price of ABOUT $100 how can you..........
NOT HELP BUT TREAT YOURSELF AND BUY A PAIR OR TWO!!!!!
And My Final Thought is What 2 Pairs will I buy us next?

I love these boots because they're absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! but...they are not the most comfortable to wear :(
This particular leather is not as soft as my Carmen boots, but these are so beautiful it's hard to turn them away :)
I would highly recommend buying those gel inserts if you decide to buy these :)

After a long search for tall boots that would fit my skinny calves--I have found them. My calves are 11 1/2-12" and these are just slightly big. (I adjusted the buckle to slimmer setting.) Plenty of room for skinny jeans and still look good with skirts. The cognac color is very pretty. They seem to run slightly big but narrow. I ordered a 7 1/2-my normal boot size and I have plenty of room in toe. They don't slip in heel though and I decided to keep so I can wear thicker socks if needed. Only thing I would change is that I wish they had a slightly shorter heel. Still overall comfortable for the heel height with a cushioned instep. If the price goes low enough for other colors, I may be ordering more.
