 Hot, but not made for walkin! April 10, 2010

These are extreme heels are not so much made for walking in as posing in. Be aware that it takes exercise and preparation to stand and walk in these without hurting yourself. Due to the extreme posture they put your foot in these can put a great deal of pressure on your toes and calf muscles and tendons.
That being said, they look great and make for some great photos!
~Edit~ I recently became fascinated by "pony boots" bascially, boots that simulate Pony hooves, there is only one current manufacturer out there and their are half way round the world, expensive and very slow at communications, but then i thought about these boots.
I'm in the process of modifying them into a pair of pony boots myself, the fact that the heel/platform is made of a solid block of wood has made it very easy. My first step was to modify the heel of the shoe a little, I shaved off approiximately one ince of the block heel, put them on and lo-and-behold I can walk in them all day. After staring at them a while I realized that the problem I was having before was that these shoes are designed to put you beyond verticle so you have to have your knees bent and weight shifted behind you to stand in them, this puts all kinds of unnatural pressure on your knees. Anyhow, by take a little off the heels you can stand up vertically and actually walk in them pretty cleanly.
While I am sourcing the small hoseshoes I need to finish the modification I'll temporarily re-attach the heel pad and spend a little time practicing in them.

The boots were as per the picture listed, the quality and fit were commensurate with the price paid.
The lacing method was easy to use and the overall fit and look was most acceptable.
I would have no hesitation in recommending these boots to someone wishing to buy this product.
