Love these boots March 4, 2010 BootFan (Virginia) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have 15 in calves and they fit me very well. I can even wear them over skinny jeans. The suede shaft is thin - it doesn't stand up on its own like it shows in the picture. But it is not so thin that it will tear. It is good quality suede and well-made boots. I am about 5'2" so the shaft comes up a little higher than mid-shaft. I like that they have a western look but they are still simple and stylish, not too country or too cowboyish. I think I will also be able to wear them with leggings and casual dresses when the weather gets warmer. I have the dark natural suede which looks like the color in the picture. And I also have the dark green suede which also looks like the picture - I'm not sure why it's called green because I don't see any green on it. It is more of a taupe or gray-brown color. It's a good neutral color.
What exactly was vintage? February 3, 2010 Renee Harris 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I know what vintage means but I thought that part of the name of the boot was Vintage. When I opened the box it appeared that the boots were worn slightly, if only worn in a shoe store.
I really like the boot, but I had ordered it originally from another online company and the boots were $10 cheaper, and I know that they were brand new.
I would not buy used shoes or boots, but these seemed only slightly worn, so I kept them.
I do really like the boot.
Very Pleased Boot owner! January 28, 2010 Sonia Holloway (Los Angeles, Ca USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am SO content with my recent Amazon purchase of these boots in the Cognac(rust brown), I have been on the search for boots in MY size with no success until now. I wear an 11 med-wide, and these 11Med's were PERFECT! I guess Nine West Vintage America is my brand to look for.Only $54.00 and quality is great. Price. The only suggestion is that must go with fairly skinny leg jean if you have wider than normal calf size. I give them a big "thumbs up" !
Great looking boots January 19, 2010 C. Lau (NJ, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I recently bought these boots in the Dark Natural Suede. I was nervous at first because I have large calves, but these boots fit pretty well! They're also not too tall (I'm 5'2 and they fall right below the knee). They don't slouch down throughout the day, which is great. I was also worried that the color would appear too fake or dirty looking, but they look great. My only negatives are that the footbeds are narrow (had some blisters the first few times) and completely flat (bad for arched feet), but these were easily fixed by using stretching the boots and using insoles. Overall, I am very happy with them.
Good boots January 16, 2010 C Scrib (NY/ VT) Got these boots around a month ago. They fit great and are super comfortable. I treated them and they have been great in the snow as well. The only issue was a small hole ripped in the bottom of the boots. I didn't want to send them back for a new pair so patched it myself and it seems to be fine. Overall I would buy them again.
