Got my boots a few days ago, so far so good. The fit was extremely tight at first, but after just a little while wearing them around the house, they began to loosen up. The next day, they continued to feel more spacious and more comfortable in general. Construction seems good quality for the price. I was shocked at how light weight they are. They are nice looking, I like that there is only a little bit of "fake fur" around the top as opposed to some other styles.
I will probably treat the upper fabric with something for some extra 'just in case' waterproofing, but over all these will beat anything I've got as far as waterproof footware.
Wore them in 4-6 inch frozen, slushy old snow...my feet stayed warm and dry.
They do require some nice insoles, as there is not much support in the boot itself...and no cushioning at all without the bootie.
Overall, I am very happy with my purchase, and look forward to putting them to the test, as we are avid hikers and backpackers!
*Further Note* I've been wearing the boots in deep snow, slush, hardened icy snow for weeks now....I love my boots! As with anyone else's footwear, they did slip a few times, but on extremely icy and inclined terrain. Otherwise, they grip well without clumping any ice around them, and have been very waterproof! They are comfortable snug, but my toes have had plenty of room with thin (wool) to low-medium weight wool/blend socks.
